Bratislava Legal Forum 2020 - presentations of our researchers

The Law Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia has organized an international conference where two of our researchers gave speeches in the section titled "Disruptive Technologies: Regulatory and Ethical Challenges"

The lecturers, coming mostly from the Central and Eastern European countries, gave presentations on current issues of IT and IP law with an interesting notice on the common connection with GDPR regulations. A shared conclusion has been developed that disruptive technologies are not necessarily compatible with the requirements of GDPR, these are rather hindering the innovative factor of the technological development in the current form.

Judit Glavanits gave an overview on the possibilities of use of blockchain technology for state/governmental purposes, Gergely Karácsony has examined the ways of introducing an innovative solution to the regulatory authorities.
